나는 공간과 사람의 관계, 그리고 그 속에 남은 흔적들을 탐구하는 설치 작업을 한다.
부산을 기반으로 활동하며, 현재까지 가덕도와 영도를 핵심 리서치 거점으로 두고 있다.
사람은 살아가면서 의미 있는 장소와 사물을 만들고, 그 맥락 속에서 현재의 자신을 구성한다. 나를 알고자 하는 욕구는
새로운 공간을 마주하고 기록하는 일상적 습관 속에 드러난다.
작업은 우리를 둘러싼 풍경과 삶의 흔적, 사람들의 태도와 사물의 변화를 관찰하는 데서 출발한다. 세상의 속도에 휩쓸리기보다 나만의 리듬으로
나아가려는 태도가 작업의 중심에 있다. 나를 발견하고, 그 과정을 내면화 하는 일, 그것이 나에게 예술이자 삶의 방식이다.
이러한 탐구는 현재를 직시하고 미래를 설계하는 반성적 실천으로 이어진다.
I create installation works that explore the relationship between space and people, and the traces that remain within it.
Based in Busan, my current research focuses on the islands of Gadeokdo and Yeongdo as key sites of inquiry.
Humans continuously create meaningful places and objects, and within those contexts, construct their current identites.
The desire to understand myself is revealed through my daily habit of encountering and recording new spaces.
My practice begins with observing the landscapes that surround us, the traces of life, and the changing attitudes of people and objects.
Rather than being swept away by the speed of the world, I seek to move at my own rhythm — this attitude lies at the core of my work.
To discover myself and internalize that process — that, to me, is both art and a way of living.
Such exploration becomes a reflective practice that allows me to face the present and envision the future.
